Show Notes

In this week’s episode, Billy talks to Eric Romanak, a fitness instructor and a social entrepreneur at Seva Fitness Academy in Kentucky. He is also the author of the fitness book  Live Better, Die Slower: Key to Making Health and Fitness Really Stick and is the co-host of A Therapist and A Trainer podcast.

Eric grew up as an overweight child of divorced parents and struggled significantly with bullying, anger, and depression. By age 22, he had already been divorced, filed for bankruptcy, and dropped out of college. Over the next 25 years, he embarked on a journey of self-discovery that led him to where he is now in the health and fitness world. He has been an all-around fitness mogul, and his primary goal now is to help people prioritize health in their lives sustainably and permanently. Let’s welcome the Renaissance man to today’s show!

Billy and Eric discuss:

--What makes Eric a "professional asshole"
--The principles of "Live Better, Die Slower"
--The changes he made externally and internally that made him feel worthy of love
--How simplicity is the height of sophistication
--Erasing the line between mental and physical health
--How vitality is the ultimate human currency
